FoolishIT/CryptoPrevent's new Amazon Affiliate Chrome plugin.....

Thanks Nick for your comments.

What I think part of the main grind is, that d7x has been in pre production now for close if not over 12 months.

We (and I'm talking of myself here, not as an admin) have seen or heard nothing since the initial, 'look out for a brand new release of D7ii'. So I'm sure you can understand where techs are coming from.

They have paid some good money for a program, expecting releases/ updates etc, where as nothing has been mentioned. I realise that everyone at Foolish IT has a life, as do we all. But a little note to say, sorry guys it's taking us longer than anticipated, or we are looking into doing X,y,z would really go a long way.

I've tried joining your forum earlier in the year in an attempt to see if there was any news. This failed. I can't remember the reasoning behind it.

I still use D7ii on a daily basis. But I also know of a lot of other techs who once used the program have now opted for alternatives. Clients of yours who you may have lost forever.. I can't blame them for taking their business to your competitors.

As I say. This is me speaking as a member and a technician. Not speaking for or on behalf of Technibble in an administrative capacity.

I appreciate the reply Nick, but blimey matey, it's a difficult read.

Any chance of cutting out the poetry, and boiling it down to, maybe 3 short paragraphs please ?

I'm getting old, and it's difficult for me to wade through the ....., to get some facts.

As Bertie says that was one hell of a read, but a bit of communication and making good of promises would have gone a long way.

As far as d7ii goes, it's a great tool and when I signed up the updates were almost daily! And now the communications have dropped off, and updates are every few months, if we're lucky. Example being it still doesn't pick up the fact Windows 10 is installed!

I remember a while ago I asked you how others sell dSupportSuite as I just couldn't sell it as a decent and worthwhile product. You said you was rewriting it to be far better and would let me know as and when we could talk about it. As far as I'm currently concerned, (and I'm still open to make this work!), at the moment dSupportSuite was a 100% worthless investment to me, and others that have bought it and simply don't get along with it.

Kind Regards,
Dom

If anybody thinks they really haven't got time to update people who have paid good money for their products and now feel abandoned, I suggest you take a look at their daily youtube posting!

I tried watching one of their podcasts and couldn't make it through it. I thought they came across as unprofessional, even amateurish.

Thank you Steven! Yes if anyone was under the impression that we're somehow unavailable to provide support, www.foolishtechshow.com is where we make ourselves available for one hour each business day, to provide live support/training for our products to anyone in the IRC during the show, or by submitting a support ticket at https://support.foolishit.com ahead of time with any requests for demos/help/training.

Sorry Mike, unfortunately we're not professional podcasters, and being more than a podcast but also including live video as well makes it even more of a challenge, especially without the time for prior preparation. It would be nice to have a good quality broadcast with good quality content 100% of the time, but again this isn't a professional video broadcast, and admittedly it would be better if most of us weren't working in the background while someone else fills any dead air (not many with issues or questions with the current lineup, though we expect it to liven up a bit as newer products are launched.)

I tried watching the show once and maybe I caught a bad one, but it seemed like a lot more sitting around shooting the bull on camera and less support and development talk. I have enough stuff competing for my attention, adding a daily not very interesting TV show in hopes of tidbits of info isn't on my agenda.

If all of you are actually employees being paid for your time in that meeting/on that show, what's the cost of one hour of it based just on wages - $100? $200? Let's say you're all pretty cheap and just make it $100/hour or $500+ per week. For that amount, I'd hope you could find a little money to pay someone to note down key points from each show that you could post as a weekly update that could be digested by users in 5 minutes a week instead of 5 hours a week. A skilled person could probably skip through big chunks of the show with 30 second skips and just pop backwards to grab important things since anything important is likely to be discussed for well over 30 seconds.

You might even be able to find an out-of-work medical transcriptionist happy for a few hours a week.

Edit: Shucky darn, I appear to use heck a heck of a lot too often.

I have lots to say but I 'fear' that I will be banned or the topic and others like it will be modded.
I'll continue to click on the 'like' buttons and eat my popcorn.
