Flight Simulator Cockpit

A client told me over the phone that he uses his computer mainly for Microsoft Flight Simulator. I didn’t realize until I get there that he was really into Flight Simulator. It's so close to reality including simulating the current weather. I want this for x'mas.

Jokes aside I can imagine people into this sort of thing would love this set up. I can also imagine VR for them is a major thing as it's pretty much perfect for something like this.

I'm surprised he doesn't have a couple of monitors there, or even one of those new curved ones - I'll bet he spent a few pennies on that setup!

If you computer is powerful enough it can simulate current weather conditions with added software. I believe that FSX also has that same option.

Yes, I also fly - FSX with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. Does everything I need it to do. And my computer is a Core 2 Quad (2.4GHZ) with 8GB memory & Win7 Pro 64bit.

I had a customer once that was a partner of a small investment firm that went bust. When they closed up shop, he got the file server and a bank of 6 monitors, 3 across, 2 high, all of the hardware to mount it, and two high-dollar Matrox cards. So what did he do with all of this horsepower? He played racing games. pedals, steering wheel, gear shift, fancy chair. and all of those monitors forming kind of a dish in front of him. I wish I had taken pictures!
