Not a big Mysql fan. I was wondering if anyone was using anything like Htmly or Flatpress. I like the portability of a flat file.

Mostly for a blog. Have you used this yourself? You don't mention the purpose... but if you just want CMS, you can try Grav.

I haven't heard of that right now my website is php driven by my own designWhat about a static site generator like Hugo?
For me it's portability but I understand speed can be a factor as wellI'm curious what the pros and cons of Grav and Flatpress are over Wordpress?

You know a little php and javascript will allow for some easy general editingSimplicity, speed.
You also have to consider Wordpress is one of the most targeted platforms on the web.
Currently our website is hand coded using an HTML5 template. I'm considering using Grav because it will essentially allow me to build an identical site based on HTML5 but give me some content management abilities to do edits to the site quickly and easily. It's kind of a pain to do edits in its current state.
For a small site, Grav is pretty nice. For something more involved, I prefer a mysql based.
