Flash Drive Trouble

Today when i plugged in my usb U3 cruzer micro 4gb flash drive my computer didn't detect it, neither did my friends pc. I had just used the flash drive as recently as last night and it worked fine without problems. When i plug in the drive i get no light and i cant see it in my computer. I cant access it from from computer management either. Any suggestions? or has my flash drive just gone bad?

I'm assuming you are using a windows machine. Open device manager, find your device, click to highlight and uninstall. Reboot. Plug in your drive and let the drivers re-install.

I am not able to do that. Whenever i plug in the drive i get nothing. No noise indicating the computer detects a new usb device, and the light on the drive that usually lights up when i plug it in, doesn't light up.

like JohnG said, rry and reinstall your drivers. Flash drives do go bad relatively quickly. Probably due to the fact they take a lot of abuse from being lugged around.
