I registered a domain a day ago and setup a new email address (admin@domain.com) and I wanted to start a new facebook account and it isn't accepting the email as valid. I made sure it was typed correctly and did it all 2-3 times. Still a no go. I've seen others with the same problem and there seems to be no explanation.

Any suggestions?

My pure guess is that it only accepts major hosts - hotmail, yahoo, gmail, AOL (yes, people still use AOL..omg) etc.

They may also accept .edu.

I have my own domain registered so I doubt it. I wonder if it has been active long enough, maybe it needs 48 hours or more?

At certain points in the past various companies have blocked certain email addresses for example I use a webmaster@ address constantly but discover credit card company at one point considered all webmaster@ addresses to be invalid so I had to change it. I would imagine admin@ could be in the same boat. Discover is not the only place that blocked webmaster@ its just the only one I recall right now.

I you read the FAQ Facebook doesn't allow common words before @ eg mail email contact etc. it will be ok with your domain name just don't have a common start

I'd check your domain name with mxtoolbox.com You might be listed on a spam service. THAT will cause Facebook to reject your email. And you can be listed if your webhost has issues even if you personally don't.
