[WARNING] Epsonscan and Windows 10 1803 don't get along

Just what it says on the tin, if you have anyone out there using Epson scanners, they need to stay on 1709, the Epson Scan application flat doesn't work on 1803, crashes, hangs, all sorts of ugly. Get these customers into the Semi-Annual Channel pronto.

I know this is not a solution but have you tried the Windows built-in fax and scan app?

Yes, but it doesn't solve my problem because I'm using Epson Workforce DS-6500 scanners. The built in app doesn't output in PDF as well, doesn't support duplexing, and cannot handle jams in the MDF.

I've got 15 of these things at a local mortgage outfit, they need to scan 100+ page loan applications quickly, the built in stuff just can't do it.

Also, the driver for the scanner itself isn't quite stable, crashes the WIA service from time to time... No, best to move back to 1709 and stay there until Epson figures it out.
