I have a customer who would like to track all employee activity on an application/terminal server. All users RDP into the server. Ideally, I would like the software to capture screenshots and track any files that are copied. I am going to do some research online, but wanted to check if any of you are currently using or know of a quality product to do this. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

It's very important to consult with a lawyer on this. While companies have the right to do this there required legal notifications for privacy protection reasons. And everyone will need to sign off on a AUP, Acceptable Use Policy, document.

There's one place where I keep getting AV flagging security events for phishing sites where I'd like to use one of those to watch what the user's actually doing, but I can't see using either of them for a medical practice client even Pilixo's "MSP Replay" seems interesting. ActivTrak has logos from at least two healthcare locations on their "used by" slider, but I can't see anything that would make auto-uploaded screenshots that may contain patient information into something acceptable.

Isn't this kind of a grey area, if it's business computers you have no right to privacy I thought.

There can be a difference between a right to privacy and an expectation of privacy. Even if someone has no right to privacy (using work computers) they may have different expectations and violating those while legal may have other impacts - such as the difference between loyal employees vs an expectation of employee loyalty.

Most of the "big brother watching" software companies have templates for "Employee computer use policy" guides...for the client (business) to utilize/import into their own policy, for staff to sign at the time of hire.
