EML to PST (or OST)

Has anyone used a converter to move POP email from Windows Mail ver 6.0.600-16386 to Outlook 2016 (new will be IMAP!) on a new machine? Here are a few I've seen but don't know anything about the companies.

I've seen posts here about Stellar products but not the one for this task. There is one called Converter for Windows Live Mail which converts to PST. According to Stellar, the WLM Then I should be able to import the PST into Outlook 2016. https://www.stellarinfo.com/email-repair/windowsmail-pst-converter.php

No, but is the transfer really necessary?

There are not only EML readers out there, but you can also just keep Windows Mail as a reader while intentionally breaking its connection to the accounts by screwing up the passwords.

Of course, it's up to the client, but I have found that starting with a clean slate, while also having a method to go back and "check the archive" on the rare occasions when that's needed, is often acceptable.

Did you try adding the IMAP account to the Windows Live Mail and copy the folders over? That sometimes works.

Correct. New user resurrected a 2 year old thread to post spam.

Correct, when I remove a spam post, it deletes everything that said user has posted.

Yeah Stellar has a lot of spammers that hit tech forums....ANY posts Outlook related..they jump in and spam it up. Which is why I'll never buy any product of theirs.
