I've gone with Crucial mostly over the last 3-4 years. The scanner hasn't failed me yet, but did have to return some RAM to exchange for the right type once (my error). They got the replacement back to me in 2 days. When I'm unsure what to order, I generally go online the mobo manufactures or brand sites for spec info.
