Hi all, have an issue here is my system. I purchased a DP > DP 4K Cable, when I connect it to my monitor the monitor powers off?

Meaning not the display signal error rather the monitor wont power on?

Setup is -

Monitor - ASUS VG278Q 27" Full HD 144Hz EyeCare Free-Sync Gaming Monitor

DisplayPort 1.2x 1
HDMI (v1.4)x 1
Dual-Link DVIx 1

Cable - Display Port Cable DP to DP Premium Cable Male V1.4 8K 60HZ or V1.2 4K @60HZ

Card - Nvidia 2070

Never seen this issue before? Anyone else experienced this problemo, other cables work fine.

I'd try a different cable. Does it work with VGA or HDMI? ...and what's with the special DP > DP 4K cable? (Linkage please?) I thought all DP cables support 4K.

Not to beat a dead horse since you fixed it with replacing but did you look closely at the ends of the cable? Some DP cables are one way only and will mark it on the ends. They may still work intermittently when backwards but cause weird issues.

Speaking of DP - Has anyone here daisy-chained 4 monitors together using dual DP monitors and only 1 DP on the machine? Issues? Caveats? Easy/hard?

Citation? I've never seen a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable that is directional. Doesn't make any sense. Makes sense for adapter/adapter cables that convert from DP to HDMI.

One cannot connect a DP cable another way - they are one way only. I am not Mr Magoo, I can connect a cable correctly.
