Ever seen something on youtube and thought "I must have that video, but I cant download it due to crappy flash" ?
Well think that no longer, there is now a way to get all those videos you want easily.
Firstly, programs you will need.
Browser: Mozilla Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com/)
Extensions: Greasemonkey (http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/)
Scripts For Greasemonkey: Youtube to me (http://www.joshkinberg.com/blog/files/youtube_to_me.user.js)
Video Player: VLC (http://www.videolan.org/)
Video Converter: Total Video Converter (http://www.effectmatrix.com/total-video-converter/)
Once Firefox is installed, install the greasemonkey extension, and restart firefox. Then once firefox is back, go to the script link above and right click on it, and select install script.
Once here, we can now download the youtube movies you like. So select a movie, load it up in ur page on youtube, and you'll see a red bar along the top of the page. Right click and select save link as, where you then save it to where you want, and the name you want. But be sure to remember to save it as a .flv file.
This .flv file will open in VLC, but say you wanna convert that flv file into something like an avi, or mpeg, well thats where total video converter comes in handy, just open the flv file, select the output of which you'd like, and convert. This program is pretty straight foward, and easy to use. Once done, you can now play the output file in any normal media player.
Ummm.....thats about it. Good luck, and happy file finding.
Any problems or questions, please ask/tell
