I had a newsletter member ask me a few questions about New Outlook so I decided to make articles to answer. These are quick and to the point. For those interested in taking advantage of some free marketing, LinkedIn is a great place to post articles, and share to your network. I happen to also make a blog post on my website and share the info in many places. Like how I share here, views get clients in the long run. Long game marketing is the best imo and free
Question for today!
Does Classic Outlook and New Outlook share any data files?
Answer! Yes and No
Outlook Classic was very customizable and it had the capability of doing some amazing configurations. New Outlook does not have that at this time. New Outlook sets up with a connection directly to your email server, Exchange, IMAP and Google Workspace for sure connect this way. If you had POP/PST setup in Outlook Classic, New Outlook will not work the same way, at least not at this time. I recommend migrating your POP/PST emails and all data (calendar, contacts, notes, tasks, etc) to a Business Microsoft 365 account. Home users may opt to use Outlook.com.
Want even more information or use other social media/communities? (This is the info I put at the end of each article on Linkedin, good marketing that's free)

Question for today!
Does Classic Outlook and New Outlook share any data files?
Answer! Yes and No
- For Exchange, IMAP, Gmail and Google Workspace they can share the same data on many devices/iPhone/Android
- PST files can be open in both applications at the same time, PST will never sync with the cloud or another application, so it’s not recommended to have open in both Outlook Classic or New Outlook.
