Were looking at documentation a ticketing system presently just using text documents in client folders on a shared folder, any suggestions to best way to keep documents for client systems, configurations, username password, and the endless list of other useful information?

there are a few

PCRT
repairshopr
Autotask which is more a PSA than ticketing
zendesk
freshdesk
troubleticket
osticket

Some are free, some are self hosted while others are hosted for you.

I have signed up with repairshopr free version to try it out. It looks like it will do everything I would like initially. And down the line I can add quickbooks integration and website integration. I just wish it was more in line with quickbooks onlines prices. repairshopr is $50 per month. Quickbooks is 10.

It is far superior to most other applications for it's features and benefits. I have been using it since December and must say I have tried all of the others out there and find RepairShopr the best. They are adding new features monthly or quarterly to make it better.

For a simple, shareable solution you could use Evernote. Otherwise invest in something like Autotask.
I haven't used RepairShopr, but it looks awesome!

Quickbooks is overpriced even at that point. RepairShopr on the other hand is priced right. It's awesome. The built in marketr alone is worth the monthly fee. I just moved to repairshopr this year and haven't looked back. If you can afford it don't hesitate. Support is good too.

I was thinking about using them both. How are you planning to handle the bookkeeping side of things. I am quite new to RepairShopr and know it can invoice and produce statements, but the accounting and reconciliation side of things seem to be missing.

Quickbooks is pretty much the standard and does integrate with RepairShopr. As much as I don't like them, the product does work. I was just trying to make the point that RepairShopr is worth the price.

I've been using it since version 2006. I do despise many things, but they are just about industry standard. I have my eye on zero, but do feel a bit safe and secure with quickbooks. I will most likely upgrade RepairShopr and integrate, but I was just wondering if RepairShopr would cover all bookkeeping needs. It would be sweet to leave QB behind.

RepairShopr isn't an accounting/bookkeeping software but integrates well with Quickbooks Desktop or Quickbooks Online. I highly recommend Quickbooks Online as it is a live direct integration.

I use Quickbooks Online for the past 9 years but don't currently have RepairShopr integrated. I just record the payments in QB when doing a deposit of check/cash or monthly for credit card/paypal payments. As things are getting busier I will be linking my Quickbooks Online so it will save me a step.

If anyone is interested in Quickbooks Online I can get you a discounted yearly subscription on it. You can email me at shawn@acscva.com for more info.
