I had intended to post a grossly sarcastic rant about using volunteers to look at freaky stuff for the price of a bus fare & a McD, however, this may be an opportunity for someone out there.

Absolutely this ^^^ I don't have volunteers, interns, or "work experience" placements on my teams.

Who, apart from pervs, ped0s, sickos and psychos would volunteer to look at that stuff? It's bad enough when you get paid to do it..somethings can't be unseen :(

The world is full of wanna-be's. Including, as we say on this side of the pond, g-men, who I call junior g-men.

As someone who spent several years doing digital forensics and came across my share of disturbing stuff and stuff i would care to forget I can tell you there is no way in hell I would do this type of job for free.

But this sounds more like it's a we just want you to watch this 3 hour long video and identify the points we should pay attention to rather than actual forensics work

No kidding there...

About 20-25 years ago I did lots of temp work. Did all kinds of random jobs back then, but one always stuck in my head and still remember some of the images I saw to this day.

I spent a week going through old medical records and divided them up by date so ones before a certain date could be transferred to microfiche.
Well, I was astonished at how many of those medical records opened up to a rather graphic photo of what was ailing said person. I was also somewhat mortified to discover as the week went on that more than half had to do with ummm.... issues in the rear area... let's just leave it at that.
