Dell server firmware updates

@Your PCMD's iDRAC thread caused me to look at both of my Dell R710's. After determining that they both needed updates my looking around pulled up the link below. They have bootable ISO's that will do everything in one fell swoop. Makes life much easier. Enterprise products only.

Edit: And when they say it takes an hour or more they are not lying. My model has a potential 104 updates. So between testing and the installs it does take that long.

Took just under an hour which included 2 passes. Not all updates can be applied without a reboot as there are some dependencies so it had to be run twice. But a very convenient was to take care of all of the firmware in one whack.

HP has something similar called the Proliant Service Pack, you can either boot the disc or run from the OS and it does all firmware, drivers and software.
