QNAP Mod: TVS-672XT - 6-bays with 5 drives installed.
Dead motherboard.
Originally setup on RAID 5 or 10.
Can we just plug the drives to the new unit?
Or what would need to be done first?

Generally speaking you can move functioning RAID drives to a new environment as long as the order is preserved. In the case of QNAP it's almost certain it's using mdadm because it's linux. I've even taken a 2 drive array from the enclosure and hooked them up via USB2SATA and macOS (mdadm) recognized the array. If it's super duper important I'd image each drive first just in case.

I'm sure that you've heard me say it before, but I'll say it again. Do not do this until you have a full sector-by-sector clone of each drive.

If the transplant works, great! But, if it doesn't and the drives get altered in the slightest, you will be in a large world of hurt without the clones and have only yourself to blame.
