DD-WRT v24 vpn

i have a linksys 54gl that i put DD-WRT v24 (05/24/08) vpn on to it.
does anyone know of a easy step by step way of setting up a vpn server on it. And its my first time with DD-WRT.
There will be two laptops connecting to it via its public ip to a file server behind it.

The built in VPN client in Windows (2000, XP, Vista) and Mac OS X will connect to a DD-WRT router without any issues.

(EDIT!: I appologize, I linked to the OpenVPN setup guide. To use that, you have to use the OpenVPN client. The PPTP VPN with DD-WRT is what Windows and Mac can connect to natively. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/PPTP_Server_Configuration#PPTP)

I use DD-WRT v23 sp2, and it was quite easy setting up the vpn and it works like a charm. DD-WRT v24 should be similar to v23, so try this, Click on Administration > Services > Under PPTP, click Enable (next to PPTP Server), In the Server IP Text Box, enter the Routers IP Address, In the Client IP text box entee the IP range eg. 192.168.0.100-120, In the CHAP Secrets text box, you need to enter the usernames & passwords, each username followed by a space and an asterix*, for example: username * password *

Click on Save & Reboot the Router.

i got it working , but one problem i found was that i had to configure the router via IE as firefox was not saving the settings i put in.
Just in case anyone else out there is trying the same thing in the future i also found this guide
