Data Recovery thoughts on this drive?

I have a maxtor DiamondMax 10 model 6L 100P0, 100GB 3.5" internal PATA drive.

Client said last time the plugged it in something smoked. I tried it with my equipment and it resulted in a faint electrical smoke smell.

Not being an expert, it seems like the data would/could be fine but the electronics are fried.

I have heard of recovery companies swapping the electronics with the same model drive and it working.

Are there any companies people here recommend where I could get an estimate to see if the client is interested in recovering the data?
