hi gud day to everyone!

this is the scenario: i have 3 pc with me.. the first two has both Asrock AliveNF7G fullhd motherboard with amd sempron processor, 2gb of ram and 512mb display cards..

suddenly after turning on,the two pc shows no signal but the pc is working i guess, fan is ok both the processor and display cards even the hard disk sounds like its reading all the lights are on too..but i do not hear any beep...so i decided to remove the videocard and connect the monitor directly to the built in vga of the mobo...nothing happens!i mean still got "no signal"

second move is to remove the rams and turn it on again...still "no signal"
and still no "beep".so i think it was the processor..remove it and swap it with my working pc but different motherboard..but suprisingly it works well, both processor!so i guess it's not them...

another step:i swap the psu with another working pc but again still nothing

so i brought out a new mobo..(biostar mcp6p m2+)try to install it in one of the "no signal pc"...sad to say, again still got nothing
this time i brought out a new hard disk and try it to both of them but you know... a new 2gb ram stick also a brand new keyboard and mouse but also nothing

and then i assemble the two pc in its original parts with no videocard...remove the cmos battery first but fails me then try clearing it but again fails me...

so lastly brought out a new processor this time (athlon X2 240)and try if it'll work to one of the pc..but again still no signal..

so this time...i decided to build all the spare into one pc unit...the mobo, processor, hard disk and ram new keyboard and mouse and of coarse the psu/tower case(all of them brand new and comes with the box!)

but OMG!still got the darned "no signal"

pls anyone?

just now i attempt to clear the cmos of the newly assembled pc then luckily i got to "POST" and tells me that the "cpu has been changed!"i enter CMOS and save the changes
it restarted but again...got the "no signal" matter!

pls...any help will gretly appriciated...

GOD BLESS

thanks for the replies...vga cable are working (already swap it to others) and i cannot get to the bios either...i think keyboard is not working too with the "no signal"

again thanks for the replies

Have you tried booting from either UBCD4WIN or a Live Linux Distro, like Ubuntu? Have you tried a different monitor, or recently used the no signal monitor with a working system? Do you have a case speaker plugged in to reproduce the POST beep codes? (sorry - I know these are basic, but I've found when things are this baffling, it's best to get as fundamental as possible. I once spent over an hour tearing my hair out on a new build that wouldn't power on until I noticed I hadn't connected the case's power switch to the mobo. Doh!)

You've tried:

-Remove discrete graphics card and use onboard video
-Swap CPU
-Swap PSU
-Swap Mobo
-Swap HDD
-Swap RAM

Puzzling.

According to the ASRock web site, no AM3 CPUs are listed on their "supported" list for that mobo, so the Athlon X2 240 replacement CPU you tried (which is an AM3 Athlon II) wouldn't likely work for you anyway: http://www.asrock.com/mb/cpu.asp?Model=ALiveNF7G-FullHD R1.0&s=AM2

If that Sempron CPU you have is the 2.7 GHz 140 (an AM3 design), then AM3 CPU compatibility *may* be the source of your problems. If that's the case, try an AM2 or AM2+ CPU on their "supported" list, or pick up an AM3-compatible mobo.

I'm interested to learn what you find out here.

yah X2 240 is a a socket am3...and that is the only spare i got, so i search if i can use it and here i got, "*If you use AM3 / AM2+ CPU on AM2 chipset motherboard, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200 MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s), but the CPU frequency will not be influenced." according to the mobo specs in their site

i just a try..but no luck

but yesterday i finally made them both working... just a weird ram issues!

the mcp m2+ mobo with athlon x2 240 i guess doesn't work with my ddr800 because when i try to put ddr667 it works!(both are bnew)

same as the asrock mobo coz i inserted the ddr800 in it and made it working,i don't know but before,it works fine with ddr667!actually i tried the old 667ram that i remove from it and still working coz i tried it in other pc here...

something is playing at me i guess? =)

but anyway thank you to all replies...

again thank you...
