I was just taught this recently by a newly hired tech. What a time saver. Before this I always did ctrl-alt-delete, then choose "task manager"

I must have saved, oooh entire minutes over the years with just this tip!

If you're impressed with this you'll be amazed by the fact that right clicking the taskbar gives you a menu with the option to select Task Manager. This allows you to get TM up in nested RDP sessions. Yeah baby. Living the dream.

One thing I learned was Windows + Pause. It will pull up the "System properties" which has the basic system specs and you can change to a domain really easily.

clicks...

Shift + (right mouse click) (brings up strange menu)
Shift + del (just delete it, do not stick in recycle bin)
Alt + (dbl mouse click on desktop icon) -> brings up properties menu for that program/shortcut/link.
Alt + Left Shift + PrntScrn (makes web pages easier to read if you click yes)
F2 -> rename the selected icon

Here is a list of kybd shortcuts that will come in handy.

I'll bookmark that, thanks!

A few other ones I like to use is Alt+Enter. It will pull up the properties of the selected file. If I want to know how large the file/folder is, I will use that. Or, if I want to run as administrator or create shortcut, I will use Shift + F10, which will mimic a right-click, and I can then arrow key to where I need to go. Pretty handy (yes, I hate the mouse)
