I have a crashed hard drive that I was able to recover the customer's Outlook PST file off of via Recover my Files recovery software, however Outlook and scanpst both say the file is corrupt/unrecognizable. Anyone have any suggestions or know of any software that can repair badly damaged PST files?

I tried the recovery toolbox software and no luck. :(

You might try sending emails to the tech supports of the products you try, since you are a "potential customer" they might spend a little time trying to help you get through this. Work them over real good. I doubt they will just blow you off if they want to sell the product and you might really find out if the file is toast.

ps- I think the file is toast, but don't take my word for it. ;)

Have you tried the hexeditor trick yet?
1. open up your pst with a hex editor.
2. change the first byte from 21 to 00 and save it under a different name
3. run scanpst on the new file.
4. *cross fingers*

Lots of suggestions at this site. You can try deleting chunks of the file using a hex editor and hopefully retrieve some of it. Found this while helping a buddy with a PST larger than 2GB that wouldn't let Outlook open, although I haven't tried it myself.
