Cool little laptop...

I found this laptop at Best Buy the other day.

(I can't post links yet, but you can google it)

It's the Toshiba L635, it's marketed as a kids laptop, but I loved it's small size, the wipeable keyboard, the ESATA port and it's overall rugged feel.

It was on sale for $400. I have "decrappified" it (Love that term btw) and so far it's great. I think this will be my new portable machine to take on-site.

Looks like a pretty good laptop, except for the Celeron part.

For that kind of money you could get a better laptop and for less money you could get a netbook. I love my little Acer Aspire One netbook that I bought refurbished for $200. $400 on sale is a good price for that laptop since it's normally around $600.

I had a little Netbook, but I'm getting old (lol) and can't see as well anymore so I gave it to the kids.

I know I could have got a "better" laptop, but most of them are much larger. This one seems to be just the right size for carrying around and would seem to be very durable.

Honestly, I have one of these and they run pretty well.
