I suspect it will get worse before it gets better. And we'll learn more command-line stuff like gpedit.msc rather than navigate through yet another fussy graphical interface.
I'm sure somehow there will be a tool developed to bring back the classic look...maybe not. Microsoft always wants to fix things that aren't broken lol.
Agreed. They haven't even set a date - still the ever-nebulous "soon". It will be a sad day for me when ncpa.cpl, services.msc, appwiz.cpl, sysdm.cpl, gpedit.msc, devmgmt.msc, eventvwr.msc or diskmgmt.msc [plus a dozen or so others!] stops working. Those things are so ingrained that I've never internalized where this stuff is in the settings app. I've stumbled across them, of course, but I never go there on purpose it seems.
This is a thing I hate about Microsoft. I get that they want or need to change things. But f***ing change them. Going to a whole new design - then do it. Don't do some new and keep some old. Rip the damned bandaid off. They should have done this 10 years ago.
Yes, exactly. The only reason Control Panel still exists is because MS haven't put the development resources in to replace all functions. Many Control Panel functions have been effectively removed (now they only link to Settings).
So the big question @britechguy , why did you upload that youtube video(the youtube channel is called Britec09)
