Looking for computer repair inventory software where I can keep track of work orders/parts etc.

I have already found a couple companies and was wonder what everyone else is using?

I am using PC Repair Tracker at the moment and like it cause I buy it and own it. I currently have it hosted online but I could host in house.

I have tried Repairshopr and It is also a nice option and they keep adding features. I didn't like the idea of a monthly subscription at the time I started my business as I am still getting business built up and opted for the one off cost of PCRT. But they keep adding features that if I get enough clients to justify the cost then I could be persuaded to move to them.

There is also Mhelpdesk which I have not tried.

I used RepairShopr for about a year, and then moved to MHelpdesk this past summer. For me, I am finding that MHelpdesk is a better fit, especially with the mobile apps. They offer it to one-man outfits like mine for $25 per month, which is affordable for me . I will say, though, that Repairshopr is continually getting better and better, especially with the integration with other products. If they had a better pricing structure, I might have been persuaded to stick.

How about RepairTraq

How about RepairTraq, anyone using it or heard of it. Seems to go to be true. Wonder what the catch is.

QuickBooks

Although it isnt geared specifically towards computer repair business, Quickbooks Pro has worked well for us. We keep track of inventory, clients, vendors, etc.

We switched from MHelpdesk to PCRT about 2 years ago and haven't looked back. MHelpdesk has many more features, but PCRT is way more stable and the support is better IMO. MHelpdesk was overcomplicated for what we needed and that led to problems. I like that PCRT is very simple and therefore easy to train people on.

Same here with Repairshopr and I have a very small business, I just love it so much I wouldn't want to do business without it. Personally I think its the best software available, it just depends on whether or not you want to pay the price.

Thank you! I have been looking for a way to manage jobs when I get slammed but never really looked for specific software. I appreciate the info.

Has anyone used Open Source software? I was initially looking at CRM software, like SugarCRM or vtiger, but just discovered ERP software, which has CRM, as well as inventory, shipping, HR, and a lot of other things we likely won't need. I've been looking a while, and Odoo is my curent favorite.

Repairshopr here as well. Just recently moved up from the free version, I like it very much. Really wanted something that integrated with my RMM (N-able), but everything we looked at either seemed too involved for our business or way to expensive. Was hoping N-Able's MSP manager was the answer, while promising I think it has a ways to go.

So we just stayed with what was working for us.
