Hi Guys
Just to update you ive uploaded some new databases.
They are located at the same link as the first post and there is screen shots there to look before you download. There is a log you can change to brand it to your business too.
If you have any issues or requests let me know.
Question:
does anyone still use 800x600? I know ive not in a long time. i can drop my resolution and make a 800x600 compliant gui if anyone wants it?
The labels have been spread more so hopefully at v high res 1900x1080 it should still be ok. My poor laptop doesnt go that high so i cant test right now lol

I think the only people who choose 800x600 are the legally blind and people who don't know what a video driver is. I used it to test the labels, then promptly went back to 1080.
Label issue is resolved in new build, still cant resize, cutting off customer status on the far right in the list.

Ahh i see. you can resize the columns and use the slider to see but i take it, as you have such a big screen you want to be able to make the whole thing full screen?
Ill have a look and try to code a bit later. Ive been making a slightly differnt customer database so ill try to throw that up shortly too. i think this new 1 may be alot better for everyone. If you want anymore databases on anything please let me know.
I know its a little way off but i was thinking of making a cust datbase for on the go. it would be carried on a mem stick that you used on the customers computer and would create a snap shot of the computer (similar to comp analysis). The "snapshot" would be of hardware and software as soon as it was brought in and time and dated then everytime i do something or its brought back in i can compare the changes both software and hardware. really only good for repeat customers. You can keep track of what you do for them most and whether they keep getting viruses etc... it oculd be goo dfor upselling. Whats everyones thoughts?

Hi
ive updated again
You can now full screen the app however when you return to normal it will be slightly smaller. not a major prob to be honest you can still use it no probs. when you restart all is fine though.
Ive also added another slightly more info orientated customer database for those that want a little more. its also easier to edit and see. Again you can click on teh column to arrange etc... Its called customer database 2 (original i know lol)

Perfect fix for the horizontal scrolling, though it seems to have introduced a new bug for you:
If dragged downward far enough, or maximized, you end up with the bottom slider on top of the input fields.

can't even open any of them, this is what get when trying to open or extract?

On the supplier database, you might want to create a field for your account number with that specific supplier. Maybe even a login and password for their site.
For the parts database, maybe fields for cost, and quantity. Also, is the part field for the part number or the description? Might want to have one of each.
Any way you can combine all of these databases into a single application?

Hi, im using the latest winrar beta. Maybe thats the problem. Try that and 7zip and if u still have no joy then email me and ill send u the files direct

Thanks for the input. Those additions make sense, i heard another for the customer database too which was to add a password field in case the cust has 1 on their comp. Ill try to update them as soon as i can but very busy right now so might leave it for a few days.
Im not sure about combining them. Its a little more complicated than it sounds! Its not just adding 3 tabs into the prog. Ill look into it when i can but for not for a few days.

Pretty Sweet, now i'm going to into excel and make an invoice temple with the text file. Very nice! Thinking I can make it load into a sheet, then can create a template by just clinking the customer. What format are you saving these text files in?

Hi you can look in the text file. its created in the same directory as the program when you save an entry. Its easy to understand when you look inside, nothing complicated.
Im pretty sure i can build in an invoice facility if you guys want? it will most likely be saved as a pdf with the details inputted as the invoice. if you have ideas on layout please let me know.
Ive seen a few requests so far and im going to take the database 2 file that i uploaded (the database with a few more fields) and ill create an ini file that the fields and labels will read from that way if anyone want to change or amend their database specific to their own needs they can. ill upload that in a few days.
