Code Green Technology website

Get rid of the quick tips. It doesn't look professional.

You need to set the text on the home page next to the picture to align right. Justified always looks goofy.

Personally I'm not a fan of blogs. Other members here are and it is a matter of personal taste.

Overall it looks nice to my artistically challenged eye.

I've actually received a non-trivial amount of business as a result of the quick tips. My customers seem to like them. Can you tell me why they seem unprofessional to you? I do have a couple of joke entries, but I think I'll remove them.

You're right about the full justification: it's now gone. I'm in the "blog fan" camp, as long as they stay updated. Which means I need my next post up... :)

Thanks for your feedback!

Actually, I really like that idea :)

FWIW, heres my take on the site:

1. front page is too 'black and white'.. It looks quite severe, between the text-only logo and the b&w image. Your home page is incredibly important, expecially is its acting as a landing-page from search engine queries. It should: sell services, and get people to want to spend more time reading the sales message of the site - drawing people in. At this stage I dont thing its doing that effectively.

2. The 'all your services on one page" model is problematic from SEO perspective. Also, it doesnt allow you to sell the specific benefits of any one service. There's an important distinction between describing and selling, and I mention it because selling may well include description, but description wont necessarily sell. And thats the purpose of a website - to make you money!

3. I really like your Bio! Its very cool!! I want to hire you just based on that. Keep it!

4. Your site needs images (color, illustration of ideas, aesthetics) and calls to action. If you add these it will sell your services more effectively. Just using blocks of text describing what you do is limiting the potential for it to bring you paying customers.

Anyhoo, thats my 5c worth :) Good luck with it!

[edit] Im off to find a 'quote of the day' widget for WP so I can add some tips to my site, like the ones you're using. Thanks for the idea :D You had me at
