I am trying to clone a 128GB SSD to a 256GB SSD using a clone dock. It successfully clones it but half of it is unallocated (which makes sense). When I try to extend the volume to use that space using disk management is gives me an error "The operation is not supported by the object."

Is there a way to do this?

Is it possible the source drive was partitioned as MBR and the destination drive had already been partitioned as GPT?
No it would an have issue with the partitions positions and their relative sizes. There are partitions that need to be realigned or some deleted, as there is irrrelevant data that is in the way.

Or most likely, it is the shite docking station software; I would never use those clone docks I would use Macrium Reflect Free as @Your PCMD has stated.

@Your PCMD DiskGenius is a great program as well.
