Client email being blacklisted

I have a client who works in the property management space and their emails from their brokers are being bounced back mainly from GoDaddy at this time but a few from Road Runner and some are just going into the ether.

First and foremost, they are using hosted Exchange with Rackspace. We have reached out to Rackspace to try and find out what is going on but Rackspace can only see what they see on their end and they are requesting we tell all recipients to white list my client's domain which is numerous amounts of recipients.

They also use Constant Contact to send out email blasts. I am not in the known regarding Constant Contact. I just know that it is a legal way to send bulk email.

We have checked their static IP and ensured they are NOT on any blacklists such as Spamhaus and the like; they are not. GoDaddy does not tell us why they are blocking us AND I UNDERSTAND THAT! They are not willing to because we easily could really bad malicious spammers trying to get around their methods of blocking spam, that's completely understandable.

I'm hoping anyone who has been through something similar can shed some light on what we can do on our own to ensure that we do not end up being blacklisted from various providers such as GoDaddy and any other email or ISP providers.

It's really tough because this is another one of those "We never had this problem prior to x" and I'm at a lost as to what else can be done. They said they want to switch to another provider but I explained it's likely that the problem will remain regardless of what provider they go with.

Edit Unfortunately no they aren't showing up in the RBLs on MXtoolbox.com. I also tried that initially but forgot to mention it in my post. I've tried their static IP as well and nothing. Literally no blacklist is listing them. Unless they're being listed for short periods of time but even then each time I have checked they haven't been listed.

It's a bit of an outlier but....I've found signatures can get people blocked by various mail systems. Not entirely sure what needs to be in them for this to happen but I tell people resend plain text emails to test this.

BUt in your case I guess if they are sending out bulk emails then it's possible they are simply blacklisted because of that.

Godaddy could at least point you in the right direction FFS. I.e. if it's just the bulk or if it's what they're sending. That's not helpful.

Never seen a blacklisted domain. Blacklisted IP's or domain's of mail servers yes. If using Hosted Exchange via Rack Space, they should fix this as it's their server. What lists have you checked?

First place I'd look....gather intel you find there and proceed to next step.

Thanks sir, updated the OP but I am not seeing either domain or static IP on the RBLs as being blacklisted.

I've gone ahead and just bought a hosted Exchange account through GoDaddy and my plan is to have them email me and get it bounced back and I'll open a support case with GoDaddy to figure out what we're doing wrong.

Just the tool on mxtoolbox.com. We have been in touch with Rackspace at the end of the day their solution is to have our client contact each client that they're being blocked at and asking them to white list their domain. They said they feel that is not realistic with the amount of email they send to various different people and they claim that it is not unsolicited this is brokering going on several years or months prior to this happening.

Removing the signature initially helped to allow emails to go through but now they're being blocked again.

There more information when checking MXToolbox than just the IP or RBLs though....what other info is showing up?

What if you run the whole test?
SPF good?

moving to Godaddy...ugh...be prepared for lots of headaches once with them.

Oh no we're not moving them to GoDaddy. I just created a hosted Exchange account after I signed up with them to be a reseller (per your recommendation thanks again) to test. We're still at Rackspace for the client. I told them it's likely any where you go you're going into similar problems. Told them we have to tackle the underlying problem. I didn't see there was a full diagnostics at mxtoolbox.com. I'll check it out and get back to you guys.
