I have read the many posts and would like to ask a question so please don't post that I nee to search for the answer.

I have tried teamviewer and I really like it. I resently sold two maintenance plans for a total of $760. So I have the money to buy teamviewer but man it is so pricey. Before I pull the trigger and buy teamviewer are their any other one time purchase programs that work as well as teamviewer.

Thanks in advance.

What am I looking for with gfi? I googled it and found backup and other services provided by them. Thanks

Good to know about the payments thanks.

I couldn't find pricing on gfi site. It just keeps saying low monthly cost. I would like a one time payment program if possible.

Thanks

Gfi looks pretty good and will be a good sellin point to offer my services. Is their a quick connect file that I can put on my website? For the one time support customer.

No, that's it's downside. You have to install the GFI agent and, once done, you'll have online dashboard from which you can initiate a session. If you're doing monitoring, you shouldn't need a quick-install option anyway, you should pre-install anything you'll need.

True but I also use quick connect for one time jobs. So I guess gfi won't work. Thanks for the input. I might use gfi for the monitored clients.

i m renting teamviewer for 20 dollars (USD) /month and that was the was option i found.
cheaper than buying it and you will always have the lastest version.

You'd mentioned maintenance plans and a fondness for Teamviewer; that was specifically why I suggested GFI as, in that combo, it's dirt cheap.

For quicker connect options, I'm using Screenconnect.

I use join.me for one off connections. It's free and from Logmein.

You just need to tell the client to click on the 'basic' button to use the free version.

Check out ACRBO.

They used to give out a nice discount on teamviewer.

I bought it.
Upgraded it.

Haven't regretted it.

TechInLine here and very happy with it. I particularly like that I can pay 'per session' blocks so if my remote support load is light I only pay for what I use.

Labman, please don't skip the Introduction forum. It's mandatory and failure to complete an intro has repercussions.

Sorry, was just trying to help quickly.

As I don't want any "repercussions" I'll say goodbye to the forum.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I bought teamviewer today after trying a couple other ones.

I had two clients sign up for a remote tune up once a month to one of their home computers for $360 each so i will use that money to buy the license.

Now i need to come up with a maintenance routine for them or i will just use my tune up practices.

Thanks again
