Rapid Response Tech Solutions

Above is my current trading name. I am yet to launch so i have the luxury of thinking about the name i wish to trade under still.

I plan to cover more than just computers, that's why i like the 'Tech' part rather than pc or computer. I also aim to be fast so rapid response felt good.

Just concerned that when/if i open a shop having it called Rapid Response Tech Solutions wouldn't be appropriate or would it? I'm also catering to home/small business owners aswell.

Is it too professional for the home/smbo's that it may scare some off?

I think it is a good name to stay with. It does sound professional, yet I don't think it will keep you from getting residential customers. I would keep it as is.

It sounds like some time of medical organization to me . . . . If you start getting a lot of calls asking if you do computer repair or tech support, then your name may not be a good fit. I am currently having that problem.

I recently changed my trading name for the same reasons you just spoke of. The original trading name that I picked was "Complete PC Recovery" but I realized that the name itself is/was very limiting and that I eventually I want to do more than repair computers. My new name is "Trusted IT Solutions". I think that broadens the spectrum for me a bit. I like the name you have now and I don't think you should change it. I don't see it as being limiting but if you start getting those phone calls that PCX was talking about then I guess I would consider changing names...just wait and see what happens.

Aren't you afraid of people calling you TIT Solutions or is that just a UK thing? :D

LOL...a co-worker pointed out to me a few weeks ago. I am hoping that if people choose to abbreviate my company name when they speak it then they will use "Trusted IT". No, it's not just a UK thing, lol again.:p

As long as they remember you it doesn't matter. If that sticks in their mind it's to your advantage. :) I had a similar issue. I started off calling myself HOB I T with the slight pause but people just call me HOBIT now so I went with it answering the phones, a bit more awkward for you :)

yeah . . . way more awkward, especially with the ladies

I am about to split my name. I am going to keep 4 your computer repairs for the residential market but going for another name purely for businesses.

I am hoping to get some logos designs started by the end of the month.
