Celeron dual core 1.6ghz vs. Celeron 2.93ghz

Hello all,

New member here, and just looking for some help in fixing a computer. Basically, I am unsure which processor is faster the celeron dual core 1.6ghz or the 2.93ghz. Thanks.

It looks like the dual core just edges out the 2.93GHz, but of course the choice of processor depends on what your motherboard will support, so check that first.

Thanks for the replies, I went ahead with the dual core. Now I am looking for a sink and fan for intel celeron dc e1200 1.6ghz sock 775. I probably should have bought a package. Any cheap manufacturers? I don't want to go crappy, but not pay for a name brand haha.

Usually retail CPU's come with the heatsink and fan, and are not much more expensive than the OEM version is most cases.
