CCNA network discovery

Cool! Glad to hear that, I am on the second of four CCNA classes that I have been taking, some of the stuff has been hard to figure out exactly what answers they want.

Thanks both of you.

There are some questions that were asked on the test that I still don't know what they wanted. One of the questions seemed to have two right answers? Very confusing.

Congrats DMacomber! That's awesome! Cisco tests are hard that way. The way they word it can be taxing to figure out and then the answers are usually extreamly close. Have to figure out exactly what their wanting. I've never done well on Cisco tests, I think im doomed! :(

Take heart bro, Honestly it sounds cliche but constantly looking over the info and trying to fit it together is what is helping me a long. Check out this link:

Good PDF on how they ask what to expect etc... That test is pretty bad and the CCNP and CCIE are even more detailed. But I am starting to really get into this field, an acquaintance hooked me up with 12 2500 Routers, a 502 Firewall, 2 managed switches, a 2600 Router , and something else I cant remember as well as a rack for it all. Find someone in the local area to mentor you and it will pay off. The Networking community seems to embrace people who genuinely want to learn. I dont know much but you can email me for help etc... at damien@rydamconsulting.com

Thank you! I appreciate that. That a nice setup you got! Great way to practice, hands on is always better than reading!

Ccent ccna

Well people it has been a while since i have posted on my ccna network discovery thread, due to the fact had my head stuck in my first two books on the cisco ccna network discovery which was for the ccent exam, found the exam trickey at times with the cisco questions, i am happy to say that i passed the exam. as said here on this post a lot to take in on a short space of time,i will go on now in the new year and study the last two books for my ccna certification. and happy christmas to you all.

Congrats

I am in the midst of setting up a home lab to work on the last half of the test as well. Keep studying.

onw thing i will say about these 2 tests is KNOW SUBNETTING WELL. i would say a good 20-30% of the questions are subnet related.

Hey Iam a ccna passed it in 2008. From what I remember their was a fair amount of subneting questions Identifying layers, and couple router simulations. Test is hard.
