Cant remove contact from hotmail contact group ... (WTF?)

MSN/Hotmail recently changed there email to accommodate for what Windows 8 visually looks like. I do not know if this has anything to do with the problem a client of mine is experiencing.

PROBLEM: She has a bunch of contact groups. She recently cleaned up one of the groups that she emails frequently. Everyone that used to be in that group is still receiving email including myself which I have added and removed myself from.

STUFF I TRIED:

Made a test group, added myself and her to the group. Sent email, both of us received the test email. Removed her from the test group, sent an email. Both of us still received the test email.

When you add the group to the TO: section there is a (+) you can click to see who you are emailing to. Clicking that (+) does not display the deleted contacts from the group, but those deleted contacts will still receive the email.

Ideas?

I once had a similiar issue.

Solution:

I went into "Contacts." You won't find the contact in your list, because you haven't added them. But, while you're in "Contacts", on the left side there is an option that says "View invitations". If you click on that, then it will show the invitation to the "NakedChatshh" group. Just reject the invitation, and it will disappear from your "To" list. At least, that worked for me.
