Got a Mac HDD that I need to get data off.

Was only able to access it using the recovery mode on the drive. Failed disk verification and failed to rebuild.

Was able to access via command line. Copy (cp) command did not fully work - only some files were copied over to an external drive.

Plugged it into my MacBook and it won't mount. Plugged it into my Windows PC and Paragon HFS+ says there's no supported volumes to display.

What to do?

I recently had a drive that failed during an OS upgrade. Nothing could recognize the main partition. I called Luke Coughey (Recovery Force, Inc.) to see about sending the drive to him and he recommended downloading the latest version of R-Studio to see if it would recognize the partition. I had an older version that did not. Anyway, downloaded the latest and when I clicked on the partition I was prompted to enter a password (user password) and I was able to access everything I Needed. So short story, download a demo copy of R-Studio and see what it shows.
