A few weeks back I purchased a PASSWORD Reset Key from Amazon because I knew it would make for a really useful tool.
Of course, I decided to test it out on my PC first before using it on someone else's. The software was very easy to use and I was able to access my PC and chance the password no problem.
I decided to try it a few more times to really get to know the program, but I started having problems.
First, I started getting .NET errors so now I couldn't get the program to correctly work no matter what I tried. I tried it on my other PC and it worked fine so I doubt the tool is the cause of the problem.
I tried accessing User Accounts in the Control Panel (Control Panel > User Accounts > User Accounts ) but I couldn't get in.
It's been a few hours trying to fix this problem, but to no avail. I searched high and low to see what I could do to fix my problem. I did the basic "sfc /scannow", "netplwiz", Repair Disk, Clean Boot, Safe Boot, Rollback, Update, and Reinstall but I continue to have the problem. Various forums and support sites said that the Software Licencing service might have stopped, but I checked and there is no such service in my PC (this is a legitimate copy of WIN10).
I don't really mind this problem too much since I don't use this setting a lot and I can use "netplwiz"
My main issue is that I want to figure out this problem so that my customers wouldn't have to deal with it too.
There's nothing worse than causing an issue after fixing the initial problem.
Any ideas of what I can do?
