Can;t get to desktop after virus removal

after removing viruses with malwarebytes on windows vista computer I restarted the computer it goes directly to "computer" where it shows the drives and I can not get to the desktop anymore. Also tried in safemode and same outcome.

Is it me or are we getting a lot of threads lately where the OP claims to have a computer repair company but demonstrates the diagnostic skills of a toothbrush?

Five threads over the last few months, none of them providing any diagnostic info or what else has been tried. Can we call End User on this yet?

Edit: I'm not trying to sound like a jerk here. The key word above is "demonstrates". Tina might have m4dsk1lls but is demonstrating none of them.

What really grinds my gears is when people see these threads and offer help despite the obvious end user poster. It completely undermines those of us that fight off the give me free suhport nao! crowd, in order to preserve the integrity and purpose of these forums
