Can I have an honest website critique please?

But from day one you'll leave money on the table that might otherwise be in your bank.

You can debate all you like about 'what it means' but the fact is that there will be a proportion of people who will form the impression outright that this is 'inappropriate' - or whatever - (in their minds) and will not deal with you because of it.

Whether that's 1 in 5, 1 in 10, 1 in 20, (pick a number. No way of knowing the exact figure). Its lost income because of something trivial that is a foreseen impediment to earning potential.

Using the logic of 'its memorable' makes any number of ill-advised business names rational choices (I will leave these up to imagination) with various negative effects on income depending on their perceived severity.

What I am saying is that some people will perceive your unwanted meaning. You have no control over that once its in the wild.

Perception is everything. You only get one chance to make a good first impression. If you fail at that point, its your competition thats making income which could have been yours.

This is a tough business to be in, and its getting tougher.

If you are serious about making money - making a go of your business venture - you might want to get the groundwork right before you start

What you don't want to be doing (Im speaking from experience) is start a business and then, because of hindsight, have to change the name after you have an established customer base. If you do go through a business name change once you are established, it will likely cost you money in missed business.

I see your point about the 1st impression they get when they read it. You can't be there to correct the initial impression whether it be right or wrong.

Instead of cutting it short with FTW, what do you guys thing of just spelling it out like:

I updated my site with the new logo. (the second one)

I think it looks much better.

It does.

You might want to fix the anti-aliasing on the letters (jaggies)

Also, Im not sure Im 100% on the idea of someone standing on my computer.

Just a thought.
