Business Card Question

Do you think it would be a good idea to have business cards for the business itself rather then the individuals that work there?

It would state the name, what the company does, the slogan, and the business number along with the website

What do you think? Any input would be appreciated

For average techs, yes, for management/owner, I'd say get them personalized for them. Be proud of being the owner, and let your management be that, management, if a customer has a problem let them know exactly who to call.

I plan on that of course, but I was thinking about doing this as a way to boost word of mouth. I recently did a job at the holiday inn express in our town and offered to barter services for a place on their lobby desk to put some business cards. I figured with the traffic and "out of towners" it would be a good idea

Any thoughts?

why barter? after all everyone knows the consierge is the goto for everything guy so he/she the person that good to know

I have never been the head of my own company before, so this is all kind of a learning process, I spent years working for my father's company and was at most, a foreman of the field crew.

I have been researching a lot of stuff about advertising, and I read that bartering services is a good way to advertise more cost effectively. Money is tight, so I was thinking it would be a good idea.
