Broadcom 440x driver help

Hey Guys,

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 in here that came in just running slow... etc.. tried to get in safe mode... Stalled at Mup.sys. Ran check disk ... sfc /scannow.... it's back up and running with a repair install. Problem is now the Nic driver won't install along with the wireless. Both are enabled in BIOS and windows sees them but when trying to install, I get an error stating that windows can't find specified file???

Have you completely unistalled the driver from DM, rebooted, and tried loading the driver again?

Yes I have... that's what I can't figure out.... Need to get this back to him today with a little luck.

See if you are missing c:\windows\system32\drivers\ndis.sys

It doesnt happen to mention which file it is looking for when it does the drivers, does it ?

No... Just says cannot find specified file.... thinking I'm just gonna nuke and pave... didn't think it would be this hard to figure out... oh well... at least he'll have a clean system...
