I have a customer that puts pictures all over then they want me to backup ones that have not been backed up problem is they don't wan't to upgrade from windows xp they hate windows 10.
Any ideas to make it easier the backup software with external drive does not work with XP lol.

Suggest a photo album- Just Kidding :D
Photo albums, a technology almost as old as XP.

There's plenty of software out there that will import pictures into "itself" and thus into its own directory which you can then backup. I wouldn't bother with the "only backup ones which aren't already backed up" bs. If he wants that, then he needs to just make a folder on the desktop and put new pics in there, and ONLY there. Then when its backup time I'd copy them over to the backup drive, put them in a sensible folder on the PC, and then remove them from the "NEW PICS ONLY" folder so he can start again.

Get an external drive of at least 1TB. keep it connected. Set a shortcut on the desktop for them to a folder on the external called PICTURES. Tell them to put ALL their pictures in there. The End.

They live in the middle of nowhere, they are in there 80's they also don't have internet lol.
Lol, gotcha.

I'd suggest an external drive, and set them up with Easeus ToDo. You can automate the backups as well as schedule them. They don't have to learn anything new, and you only have to do the initial setup and various checks to confirm it's working properly. Good way to keep in touch with them.
