Client has a Macbook Pro and wants at least 2 stand alone monitors connected to it. (possibly using the laptop screen as a 3rd.) This is to extend the desktop not mirror it.

Whats the best way to do this?

Thanks.

What model? They have made Macbook Pros since 2006. Answer will vary greatly.

I will assume he has a brand new one...use the minidisplayport to dp/dvi/hdmi for one monitor and thunderbolt to dp/dvi/hdmi for the second.

What about a USB (3.0) graphics adaptor. I use a 'Plugable' adaptor to extend across 2 connected monitors on my windows laptop. I believe drivers are available for MAC with some limitations on systems using Maverick. take a look at the plugable website.
