I use teamviewer but sometimes find customers have trouble figuring it out. Any other solutions out there that might be a simple few clicks and your done for remote access?

Thanks everyeone

I use the Take Control (Team Viewer) option that's included in my Max Focus RMM package.

Before leaping to alternatives, what kind of trouble are your customers having with Teamviewer? Running as a service or Quick Support? Do you need to change the talk-through instructions that you're giving them, if you don't have unrestricted access?

We've been using ScreenConnect for a while now and it's been great. We also get Teamviewer through our RMM tool, but still rely on ScreenConnect a lot.

It's hard to fathom a customer having issues figuring out Teamviewer; if my mother can install it, I speculate almost anyone can...

I had one or two people struggle with it lol. I think I need to take some screenshots of the initial install to ensure goes smoothly when im explaining it over the phone for instance.

Oh you have no idea. Sometimes its so difficult for them that if they are in IE i just force push them via livezilla to a runonce script I had made lol.

I can not even imagine how I would handle some of these customers without knowing what browser they have as soon as they load my page.

The Teamviewer QuickSupport option (from the customer's perspective) is dirt-simple...!

double-click...allow/yes.....give me the darn numbers! (Sorry, that's the checklist I use dealing with my mother's computer!) :)

Sure, assuming its already installed. If not, then add:

1) Open a browser. Sorry, a browser would be Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox. Well, how do you get on the internet? Google, you say? Well, how do you get to Google. OK, what is the color of the icon you use to get on the internet? Blue? Great, click on that.

2) OK now I need you to click into the address bar. Type in www.whatever.com. That should being up our remote support page. It doesn't? Well, what do you see? Hmm, that doesn't look right. You're sure you put it in the address bar and not Google search? OK, all the way at the top you should see something that starts with http. OK great. Select that and delete everything in there. Now type www.whatever.com.

You get the picture. This happens to me at least once a month. It can take 10 minutes just to get them to the website. Nevermind downloading the damn thing.

Well put Moez.
(I used some test pages for remote access for awhile that used an underscore in the address. I'll never do that again. Pffft - Talk your way through that! "Yes mam, hold the shift while you press the dash key, no not the space key, no the key doesn't say underscore or underline on it.... phew...)

During my day job I can recall it taking this poor nurse at least 15 mins to get a run box open to run a IPCONFIG on a workstation so I could VNC into it. She would read every single thing on the screen, I had to put the mute button and walk away from my desk because she read off every single thing in the run box when we finally did get the command to go. I should have had more patience but man some people are wired in a different way lol.

You know I was thinking about it... I dont mind if you guys want to use my teamviewer quicksupport clickonce launcher for your clients. I think I have the generic quicksupport on there and not one that loads with my URL and phone number. The launcher itself shows my logo and says ComputerRepairTech but thats a pretty generic company name so it may not bother you. I am pretty certain the launcher will work regardless of exe file association problems and some other issues. It will work on any customer using internet explorer or microsoft edge, just have them visit http://www.wi3.us/launch the launcher isn't signed so its still going to give the extra prompt to approve the file running in windows 8 and windows 10 but sometimes thats still easier for some clients.

Oh its teamviewer 5 quicksupport but you can still connect with newer teamviewers and once you get connected you can install your host or full version.
