She is OK!
A bump to the noggin, and a 'racked' and aching body, seem to be the extent of the injuries.

My wife was driving home (almost there) when a bad driver blew through a red light at 50MPH and T-boned our 1995 Lexus ES300 tonight as my wife made a left-hand turn at a intersection. The lady had insurance but no driver's license. She had a 13yo boy as well that wasn't wearing a seat belt (spider cracked the windshield on their car with his head/body)... they are both OK and walked away from the accident.

My wife was on her way back from a 'venue' - she runs her own business selling women's clothing(LuLaRoe). Her car was fully-packed with literally 10's of thousands of dollars in clothing, which is what you see in the car.
Some stuff was broken, display stuff, carts, pottery..

In fact it was so fully-packed that my 11yo son got a ride from a friend instead of sitting in the front-side passenger seat. I have no doubts he would be gravely hurt or dead otherwise and I am counting my lucky stars tonight, that my son wasn't sitting in his normal spot... a special occasion...

The Lexus she was driving was a family hand-me-down from my parents (our/my family car in the 90's) and has been with us for 22 years. Almost 270,000 miles clocked on the dash and ran like a top (Amsoil!). An absolutely fantastic car in great condition before meeting its demise. The car still ran and drove after the accident.. the engine was still running after the hit and was driven onto the flat bed. The alignment didn't even seem out, the way it was hit. This car was the Top Winner of safety awards in 1995.

In the pictures, my wife's direction of travel was 180 degrees the other way! The car is about 35-40ft from the point of impact. Witnesses at the scene said they couldn't believe the other lady didn't stop as two, of three lanes were already at a dead stop and queuing at the red. She never even applied the brakes, no skid marks, etc. One guy told me he didn't know how everyone basically walked away from the accident with the forces of the impact throwing her car as it did. Luckily for us, in traffic there were 2 EMT's and a nurse that were behind my wife, in different cars, and witnessed the accident. They acted as first-responders within seconds and my sincere gratitude and thanks goes to everyone that helped today.

Don't forget to tell your loved one's you love them- EVERYDAY! My Wife and I make it a point to do so... and I'm extremely thankful I can say it tomorrow.

Wow - a testament to the strength of that B pillar and occupant cage. Glad your wife is ok! I lost a dear friend in accident similar to this back in the 80s - he was sitting in the passenger seat on a new car test drive and didn't stand a chance.

Wow, glad that worked out OK. My wife was in an accident last year about this time. A young lady turned in front of her and they hit head on about 45 MPH. Totaled the car and really did a number on my wife's right arm. It is now held together with pins and rods. Could have been much, much worse, but thankfully all the airbags and restraints worked as designed. Last thing my wife remembers seeing is just before impact, the young lady was "looking down". No eye to eye contact. Cell phone maybe???????

Thank God everyone is OK, especially your son. How lucky that he wasn't riding with you in the passenger seat.

I'm happy to hear your wife, son, and the other car's passengers are all right. Moments like you just experienced makes you really appreciate what you've been blessed with.

These days? 1995 had a lot of light weight sedans if i recall correctly, shes lucky she was in that lexus and not some little 2000lbs vehicle.

Well, given I've been around for a while I still consider the later 90's to be recent even if it is 20 years ago. LOL!!!! Lexus is Toyota's premium brand so I'm sure it's much better than something like a Tercel from back in the day. And I'd be completely terrified driving around in on of those mini-coffin's like the Fiat 500.

Thanks everyone.

Ya, this Lexus had nice solid, heavy doors. This was not a 'cheap' vehicle in its '95 days.
As for the car, that'll buff right out.
Ya, we'll hook it to a tree and pull it right out. :D

Looking at those pictures again makes me realize that in the future when I move things I should put the soft stuff in the front seat and put the harder stuff in back. If that was my car in 1995 that wood box thing would be in my side xD. (edit: oh thats the back of a canvas on top of something else i think)

Ya, it is an oil painting someone made for us.... we think that is what whacked my wife in the head for the concussion/Liquid Stitches.

If you look in the back seat you can see a gray handle... this was in the crunch zone by the B piller, in back passenger side.

I always tell Dianne (my better-half) to call me to the front door of the house just as she is about to drive somewhere so that I can kiss her goodbye.
Same when I am leaving - she knows to come to the door.
This is for the same reason as yours.
I am glad to hear that everyone is OK.
