The best app to migrate into Windows Mail IS Windows Mail.

Just back up the files/folders (D7 works fine). Windows Mail can import them without help or exporting to different formats.

File..Import...Messages
and Tools..Windows Contacts...Import WAB.

mail store is great for backing up e-mail. they even make a portable version

to migrate like everyone said no special software needed. windows mail is basically the new version of outlook express
