Have a client who needs to have a website hosted but also wants to choose the hoster.
He does't want to use a US, UK or other company.
Any recommendations for an "Aussie" hosting company?
My suggestion of Crazy Domains was not accepted as an option because (apparently) they are owned by a US company.

TIA

I refer clients to web devs for hosting, but my own hosting provider is iiNet which is a good option if a customer wants a larger established Australian company. Lots of small businesses in my region use Telstra with internet and hosting bundles. If that customer has (or wants to use) Telstra internet they could negotiate a business package that includes hosting and it might be surprisingly competitive.

Hey thanks @frase. This looks ok and I'll make the suggestion.
@fincoder, thanks for those suggestions.
That was my first thought as well; why not use your dev?
He told me they use GoDaddy, so didn't want to go that way.

I'd have never thought of ISP's to do webhosting! :rolleyes::)

Couple of thoughts. Look for colo facilities and ask if they have anyone doing web hosting. Also many ISP's either do hosting or partner with hosts.

I recently signed up with VentraIP.com.au. Totally Australian, support is very responsive.
