Hi everyone, the situation is I need to call into a VOIP phone and record a new mailbox but besides talking into a microphone there is no other way to input a pre-recorded message.

Does anyone know of a way I can call into the mailbox using a softphone or my cell phone and when the system is ready to record my message instead I play an audio file and redirect the output to the microphone? Hope that makes sense!

I used to do this type of stuff in the past. If the software allows you to change the audio config, you can use what phaZed suggested. Back in the day (and I still use this here and there), is I would take an aux cable plug one end in output and the other in input. Hit record and hit play. No loss of quality in my experience.
