Well last month upgraded my gaming rig with a few new parts-

Nvidia GB 2070
2TB WD Blue M.2
ASUS VG278Q 27" Full HD 144Hz Gaming Monitor (Have another so dual)

Playing atm MS Flight Sim and Cyberpunk - so freaking awesome Cyberpunk. Flight Sim is great as well took off from Melbourne, Moorabbin Airport - landed at my home town.

Has anyone bought or been playing Cyberpunk 2077?
What are your thoughts?
This game was 10 years in developement and from release date has been so buggy and glitchy its not funny.
Tenuous story lines, awful weapons, weird things that spontaneously happen, characters appear and disappear, achievments for missions I havent done etc. Things that happen without any reason.
It' just a hotchpotch of so many other games and is reminiscent of F.E.A.R 3, (early) Doom, Crysis 3, Metro 2033 and especially GTA V among others.
Game cost $90 so I'm very disappointed.

Cyberpunk 2077 is freaking awesome! I updated to newest Nvidia drivers & running patch 1.05. The visuals are just amazing, I am using this setup - All on Ultra, turned off all the bollocks - film grain, motion blur, running DSR & RTX + HD

- Intel i7 9700F - Stock
- 16GB DDR4 1066Mhz - Stock
- GB 2070 GFX - Stock
- ASUS VG278Q 27" Full HD 144Hz Monitor

How are you coping with the glitches?

Lots of funny vids like this

And it seems they have a Class Action from people in Poland.

I dont have any, I did have one hilarious one before I updated the drivers and update. Was cruising along then BAM, was floating in the air.
Is working perfect now, even moreso with tweaked GFX/Vid settings. Just looks great with the HD and RTX, DSR need to be tweaked a bit to allow best quality.

The class action if I recall was from PS4 & Xbox 1 users I think, not PC.

I think people are getting totally different glitches from the various platforms.
I've stopped playing because its just crazy bad.
Glad your experience is better.

Been big into gaming from the mid 90's as a younger kid (10 or so) until I graduated college. Over time, just had less and less time to play. But I used to play a ton, consoles and PC a like. These days with a full time demanding career, two very young children and a never ending honey do list... I just don't have the time.

I have gotten back into retro gaming a bit. Games back then, you could pick up and play for 30 min to an hour here and there. These days, some of these games... if you don't play regularly you have to relearn how to play... taking up most of my short gaming sessions.

Anyone play Flight Sim 2020 here? Just landed my first Airbus :) -
My setup atm is -

H.O.T.A.S X with Thrust Controller

Would love to get a yoke etc - though $$

A couple decades back, I'm sure I had multiple hundreds of hours each on Quake 1,2, and 2, and, many more hundreds on assorted Medal of Honor variants....

(Now I play Battlefield 1 perhaps 15 minutes per session, maybe twice a week....)

I set up a dedicated retro system, a Lenovo touch AIO client didn't want to repair.
I have Retroarch setup up on it as a frontend, so boots straight in to UI. I have every ROM from atari, nes, snes, sega, saturn, genesis and others.

Speaking of retro, I came across this last week. It's your retro emulator in a box. Just plug it into a tv and play.

Space Invaders here we come!!! :D

Used to be but not so much anymore. Maybe when the kid gets a bit older and more self reliant I can get some of that free time back.
Maybe its just me but there seemed to be a big lull in PC Gaming for quite a while there. There were some good larger titles but it seemed like PC gaming took a back seat to console gaming for a while. Even now some of these larger titles that are coming out are unpolished or unfinished and focus solely on making money in game which is annoying.

Some of my fav games were older titles, Descent 1 and 2, Quakeworld TF. Counter-strike mod. MOO. Used to be on Kali.net when it was popular. Tons of time spent there playing matches.

Once again..VR and Flight Sims so freaking awesome, have MSFS2020, IL2-Sturmovik and War Thunder . I also play Star Wars: Squadrons - amazing so immersive. Been getting a lot of exercise as well. Have Thrill of the Fight, two fights I nearly had a heart attack. So intensive the game is like being in there, I actually got my first VR wound on this game. I threw an uppercut and hit under my desk, bruised for a week..ppl be like damn you ok man.

I'm a fan of and have played through Ghost Recon Wildlands a couple of times. Probably one of my favorite games. I've started in on its successor GR Breakpoint and for some reason just not enjoying it. It feels confusing and convoluted. I just don't want to seem to stick with it. I do binge on TF2 (Team Fortress 2) public online games occasionally. Despite the fact that it is a 13 year-old game it does has great replay-ability.

I played TF2 for a while (daily for 4 months?) but like 99.9% of online games found it to be an incredibly toxic environment.
Much like Dying Light, CS-Go*, MineCraft, Halo, CoD, League Of Legends and many others.
Fortnight is going that way very fast too. I had to bail only minutes after joining recently, after I copped a tirade of abuse from what sounded like a 12 yo girl.

The toxicity comes from spoilt 12 yo's to entitled young adults and people up to their 60's and more hiding behind the anonymity of the keyboard.

My favourite game - Left 4 Dead 2, recently had an influx of toxic players after the Last Stand update was released and Steam heavily discounted the game after a free weekend.

I guess while ever we have online gamining we'll be plagued with toxicity.

*Arguably the most toxic gaming environment ever.

Agreed. No argument here. I tend to game on Skial TF2 servers. Although not many admins around they are well run and frequented by a mature crowd for the most part that self-polices. Toxicity levels are very low comparatively. Payload and Dustbowl are my favorites.

Yea I remember , here I go - back in my day playing original COD & COD: UO & Quake we had no issues then. Was a friendly environment online, and modders also. Now it's just little turds who cant keep their mouths shut swearing or being morons. I don't game online much anymore, my tolerance level is 0%. I rather just kick back and escape from all social life and just game. As one can see from my post's, I love the serenity of flight sims, now with Oculus Quest 2 is just crazy immersive.
