My 2 cents here are this:
As newer Windows Operating Systems are patched, more clues could be released about those same problems that exist in XP and essentially give the bad guys a good starting point at writing more infectious material.
People REALLY need to grow up about the whole "Metro Interface" thing. I'll agree all day long that the interface is crap, even on a touch screen but the problem is EASILY fixable. EASILY. It's no secret, something that anyone who can do even the slightest bit of googling can figure out. Something that most people can call into a shop and have them do for them, for free or as a way to get them in the door to start earning more money. It's a bad UI, it's not a big problem in any way.
Some people can be so linear in their thinking, their minds are just on this one track system and that is it. These scenarios happen all of the time, and fixes are often simple and free. I almost think it's more of a personality issue to be honest.... these same people aren't lobbying to go back to the telegraph, candle light and the pony express.
