Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Hello!

I have an user that is unable to open PDF docs from Internet Explorer. However, he can open any email attachment that is in PDF format. At one time, we had MS Visio loaded on his computer, but since it was removed, he has had this problem. He gets the following error msg.

"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled"

"Process ID=0x3d4 (980), Thread ID-0x4d8 (1240)"

If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.

check the file association. are pdf file set to open with adobe acrobat

reinstall

Did you just try a re-install of reader? Does it work in a different browser?

Personally I would remove adobe and put on Fox-it.
