I've sifted through threads/posts and can't exactly find the info I'm looking for. If something has been posted before, forgive me and point me towards that thread/post.
This is for indoor apartment security(my apartment.) Monitoring the in/out of less than stellar maint. crew doing renovations. Trying to look at 2 options. Note that I don't currently have internet service. My iphone/cell service suffices for all internet usage up to this point. I watch antenna tv and my position doesn't require a large amount of work from home. Two options I'm rattling around my lizard brain.
1. Camera that records locally to SD/micro SD/USB. No wifi/internet connection. The easiest thing I've come up with is a game camera from Academy. Pros-Cheap. Cons-Not discreet, can be walked off/destroyed.
2. Camera/hotspot combo. Maybe a Wyze Cam V2 paired w/a prepaid hot spot. Bought the Wyze Cam at Home Depot yesterday and researched as much as I could in the store, but got home and found out you still need a secure wifi connection to configure it to record to micro SD.
I could ramble on but I'll leave it there and see if anyone's got bright ideas. Thanks in advance.
